Automatic transmission repair specialists, Stephens Engineering, recently carried out a 2012 Chevrolet Captiva gearbox repair.

The 2012 Chevrolet Captiva  brought in the specialist gearbox workshop at Stephens Engineering is a four wheel drive, fully automatic vehicle. After the diagnostic scan, when the Chevrolet Captiva was inspected in the Stephens workshop, we found that the transmission fluid was black and burnt. The Chevrolet Captiva automatic transmission and transfer box were both removed and then stripped. The Chevrolet automatic transmission unit underwent an overhaul which included strengthening the running gear with modified drums. The overhauled Chevrolet Captiva gearbox was refitted and then the adaptions were checked and the fluid within the transfer case changed.

To check that the Chevrolet Captiva gearbox repair had been successful, the vehicle was subjected to a thorough road test which confirmed that the Chevrolet transmission was running and performing  as it should.
