This is a note regarding the adaption process you applied to my old v w Passat on 7th May. I am pleased to tell you that the process was very successful and the transmission is now smooth and thump free after some 150 miles of varied driving.

I just wanted to say what a pleasure it was meeting Jason and team last Saturday ( even though I had a bill to pay! ). From my first enquiring email about a dodgy auto box and the VM reply from Jason, my apprehension at the possibility of having a very expensive day was instantly eased when meeting Jason. His friendly, informative and easy manner set me at ease. Unlike any other garage I have dealings with, I was shown and informed what was going on at every stage. He brings a breath of fresh air to motor trade
I have been in the motor trade all my life, as i know you have, and indeed we have had many dealings over the years, however it would be remiss of me not to mention the breath of fresh air your son Jason brought to my everyday dealings, as you will be aware he tried everything possible to solve the problem with the above mentioned car, and like several before and after him he was unable to do so. However unlike others, he refused to charge me for something he could not solve.
It was impressive, he was polite and honest from start to finish, and a pleasure to speak to. Even though as you can imagine, the car has stressed me out, and 5 weeks later it still is! I would like to thank him, and commend you on the way you have taught him, like I said he brings a breath of fresh air to motor trade .
Knowledgeable and helpful
My B class Mercedes had just completed fifty four thousand miles when it developed a fault with the CVT automatic transmission which was diagnosed by my local garage here in Devon as having a broken drive belt.
After numerous phone calls it seemed impossible to get this repair done in the West Country. Searching further afield I found Stephens Engineering in Ware who were very knowledgeable and couldn't have been more helpful. They carried a perfect repair on the gearbox and kept me informed throughout the whole process. I cannot recommend Stephens engineering highly enough. A remarkable stroke of luck to have found them.

Efficient, honest and know what they are doing
I am extremely pleased with the work Stephens Engineering have done on my Landrover Freelander; the vehicle had developed a problem with the automatic gear shift changes which had become very jerky. Jason at Stephens Engineerimg ran a specialised diagnostic scan on the gearbox electronic control unit and diagnosed a fault with one of the solenoids in the automatic gearbox. The work was completed on time and within the quoted price and I also asked for some additional work to be done on the cooling system and the exhaus, all of which was done without any problem.
I can wholeheartedly recommend this company to anyone requiring gearbox or general car repair / maintenance; they are efficient, honest and know what they are doing.

I was told by several garages that the transfer box on the automatic transmission of the Honda CRV is never goes wrong. Jason confirmed that this in fact was the problem with my CRV. The job was completed quickly and efficiently and Tina's communication from the reception desk was prompt and efficient and Jason was very helpful in explaining everything.
